Corporate PersonnelRobert O. Valentine Bob Valentine is a native San Franciscan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Santa Clara and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. He also holds a Fellowship in the American Society of Civil Engineers. Employed after graduate school by the bridge building firm of Judson-Pacific Murphy Corporation in Emeryville, he participated as a member of management in the construction of such projects as the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the Benecia-Martinez Bridge, the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, the Lick Observatory 120" Telescope, the bottom lateral system for the Golden Gate Bridge, the Glen Canyon Arch Bridge over the Colorado River, the Vincent Thomas Suspension Bridge, Standard Oil offshore Drilling Platforms both in Northern & Southern California, and a number of multi-story steel frame office buildings. In mid-1964 he founded Valentine Corporation. Bob Valentine has more than 40 years of broad construction management expertise. His contribution to Valentine Corporation's management team is extensvie and crucial to the success of the company. His expertise enables the firm to undertake difficult projects where creative engineered solutions must be applied. Lawrence A. Kruse "Tony " Kruse is also a native San Franciscan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He spent twelve years with the West Coast road building and heavy construction firm of Gorden H. Ball as a Project Engineer and Project Manager before joining Valentine Corporation in 1975. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California and has gained thirty five years of experience in heavy construction work to include tunnels, highways, bridges, seismic retrofitting and rapid transit structures. Tony has broadened the scope of Valentine Corporation's expertise specifically in the areas of concrete, earth moving, and underground construction. Robert O. Valentine, Jr., P.E. Bob holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Santa Clara University, where he graduated in June 199l. He received his MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University in 1993. When Bob started working for Valentine Corporation in 1993, he began studying civil engineering via self study, night course work, and dedicated tutoring. Bob recently passed his California Professional Engineer Exam and today is a registered professional engineer with the State of California. Bob Valentine, Jr., has been with Valentine Corporation continuously since August of 1993, working as an estimator, project engineer, and project manager. He currently is the V.P. in charge of operations, where he has contributed much to the current manner in which the company is performing. His expertise in computer science has added considerably to the manner in which this company performs many of its reporting, costing and estimating procedures. In conjunction with Dave Levine, Bob presently handles project management of most of the company's principal, large volume projects. David Levine Dave Levine has been with Valentine Corporation since 1978 having come up through the ranks as a journeyman, foreman, and general superintendent. His present position as V.P. In Charge of Field Construction places Dave in control of all field operations for the company in addition to performing some estimating and project management work. Not only is Dave an excellent field journeyman who knows how things are build and put together, but he also has an excellent manner in handling personnel and equipment and putting the two of them together for successful contract completion. Dave has an experienced cadre of field personnel whom he has collected
over the years and whom are very experienced in the heavy type of concrete
construction work that Valentine Corporation performs. Both Bob Valentine,
Jr. and Dave Levine are the nucleus of the continuity of Valentine Corporation
in the future. Jay Andrews Jay Andrews has twenty years combined project management and estimating experience in the construction industry. Specifically, Jay's expertise lies in marine and underwater construction projects for agencies such as the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Jay has worked extensively throughout the Pacific NorthWest, California and Hawaii on marine construction projects that involve seismic repairs on existing dams & piers as well as underwater diving projects. Jay has a B.S. in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State
University. He joined Valentine Corporation in 2002, and since this date,
has already secured several, successful multi-million dollar jobs for
the company through his estimating work. Clifford Tanaka, P.E. Cliff Tanaka's specialty is geotechnical work; however, he is equally qualified in structural design work primarily acting as an engineer and project manager at Valentine Corporation. Cliff received a B.S. Degree in Geology from the University of California
at Davis and a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State
University. He has spent eight years as a geologist engaged in mineral
exploration throughout the Western United States and an additional ten
years as a engineer performing soil investigation and structural design
for home and light commercial buildings. Cliff is a Licensed Civil Engineer
and is a member of the Society of Civil Engineers. He started working
at Valentine Corporation in 1998. Manny Urteaga Manny came to work for Valentine Corporation in June 2002. He is a construction management graduate from The California State University at Chico, and he currently is a Project Manager for Valentine Corporation. Manny is responsible for the management of several medium-sized projects for the firm. Specially, Manny's expertise lies in structural concrete projects for city agencies like The City of San Francisco and The City of Oakland. Recently, Manny successfully completed work on a million-dollar job for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. The project entailed a seismic retrofit of The Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant in Millbrae, California. Alan Hanley Prior to joining Valentine Corporation, Alan was C.F.O. of The McCosker Corporation, a construction industry computer software supplier, and C.F.O. of A.J. McCosker Construction Company, a paving and grading contractor. Alan had been with these two commonly owned corporations for over twenty (20) years. He is experienced in all aspects of construction finance and accounting. Alan received an M.B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley
and a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California
at Davis. James Coltharp, Jim began work in general construction after graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1973. Prior to joining Valentine Corporation in 1983, he worked five years as a field representative and estimator for contractors dealing with structural and foundation repairs. Jim's contribution to Valentine Corporation's management team includes
a wide range of estimating, drafting, construction, customer relations,
and managerial skills necessary to successfully coordinate the Perma Jack
